Why this mini retreat?

Why this mini retreat?

We live in a time where calm has become a rarity. Our thoughts move quickly, notifications are constant, and we rarely get true rest. This retreat is created for those who feel mentally tired, overstimulated, or scattered.

During three days of silence, you’ll return to yourself — to presence, to simplicity, to the here and now. Vipassanā means “to see clearly.”

Through guided meditation—both in group sessions and individually—silent reflection, and mindful presence, Nick will lead you step by step toward inner calm and clarity.

What is Vipassanā

What is Vipassanā?

Vipassanā means “to see clearly,” and it is a form of meditation within Buddhism focused on understanding the mind and reality as they truly are. It is not a belief or a religion — but a practical path to insight. Buddha called it “the path to freedom from suffering,” not by escaping the world, but by deeply understanding it.
Through silence, presence, and observation, you train the mind to see how everything is constantly changing — thoughts, emotions, the body, and life itself. You learn to release resistance and instead rest in what is. Vipassanā helps you see the root of stress, worry, and suffering, and to experience a stillness that does not depend on external circumstances. Many describe it as the fog lifting, revealing something quiet, clear, and alive beneath it all. This is the clarity of insight — and it is born in silence.

What you will experience?

The retreat takes you from external stress to inner stillness:

Presence (Mindfulness)

You learn to observe without judgment.

Focus (Concentration)

The mind stabilizes and quiets.

Insight (Understanding)

You see the movements of life with greater clarity.

Peace
(Stillness)

A deep, silent joy emerges.
Schedule – 3 Days of Calm and Clarity

Schedule – 3 Days of Calm and Clarity

Each day follows a gentle rhythm of meditation, reflection, and rest. All instruction takes place in silence. All phones are collected on day one.

An introduction to meditation, silence, and inner clarity.

Over three days, you will experience the core of Vipassanā — seeing reality as it is, through stillness, presence, and insight.

The purpose of the retreat

To give you a direct experience of silence, mindful presence, and inner balance. You will leave the weekend with greater clarity, stillness, and practical tools for everyday life.

A glimpse of the schedule – 3 days of calm and clarity

🌅 Day 1 – Landing in the Present

Day 1 begins at 09:30 with Nick’s introduction to Vipassanā and the retreat schedule. We’ll do group exercises, a guided meditation, and mindful eating lunch. Everyone has a short personal interview with Nick. The day ends at 19:00, though you may keep meditating in silence.

🌿 Day 2 – Seeing the Mind Clearly

Deepening into the Four Foundations of Mindfulness and the Five Hindrances affecting meditation. Morning meditation, Dhamma talk, silent personal practice, and guided group meditation in the evening. A day to truly meet the mind and see it as it is.

🌙 Day 3 – Resting in Clarity

Focus on Right Mindfulness — the fourth foundation on the path of insight. Group and individual meditation, personal guidance with Nick, and concluding reflection. The day ends at 16:00 with a closing ceremony and an invitation to longer Vipassanā programs.
Each day, you are guided by Nick Hashemi through meditation, lectures, group sessions, and personal interviews. The rest of the time, you practice on your own — in silence, in nature, and in presence.

About Nick

Nick has lived two lives.

The first as an entrepreneur and business leader. 25 years of building, striving, responsibility, success — and inner pressure.
The second as a Buddhist monk in Thailand. Silence, discipline, stillness, and insight. A journey inward to deeply understand life and meet oneself without masks.
Today, Nick unites both worlds. He helps professionals live with clarity, balance, and purpose — without needing to escape life or lose their drive. His way of teaching Vipassanā is modern, warm, and grounded. No mysticism, no complicated words — just lived experience, practical tools, and genuine presence. It is mindfulness for people with responsibility, ambition, and heart. For those who want to live more calmly, think more clearly, and feel greater freedom in both personal life and career.

Practical Information

During your stay, you will have a warm and cozy room in a peaceful environment, with nutritious and carefully prepared meals — breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks included. Everything is designed for your well-being and inner balance.

The favorable cost-price covers accommodation, all meals, and access to the retreat’s conference facilities, so you can feel fully cared for throughout the retreat. Your payment will be forwarded to the retreat center — I don’t charge a fee. If anyone offers donations, I will accept them, and some of the money will go to the children in my temple.

The teaching is donation-based — after the retreat, you contribute an amount that feels right for you. Part of your donation goes to the temple in Thailand where Nick was previously a monk, supporting education and care for the children there.
